Welcome to Black Veil Bridal. Every piece in our shop is thoughtfully made with intention and care. Because many of our items are handmade and made-to-order, we strongly encourage customers to review our policies carefully prior to purchasing. Placing an order confirms that you have read and agree to the policies below.

1) Made-to-Order & Handmade Disclaimer

All items sold by Black Veil Bridal are handmade and/or made-to-order. Due to the nature of handcrafted production, small variations in materials, stitching, or finish may occur and are considered part of the unique handmade process—not defects.

2) Processing Time / Turnaround Time

Processing time refers to the time required to create and prepare your item before shipping (this does not include shipping/transit time).

Wedding Dresses

Most wedding dresses have an estimated turnaround time of:

30–90 business days

Turnaround times may vary depending on:

  • Custom sizing
  • Color changes
  • Design complexity
  • Material availability
  • High-volume seasons

Accessories, Shoes & Other Items

Most accessories and non-dress items have an estimated turnaround time of:

10–14 business days

3) Expedited Orders

If you need an item by a specific date, please contact us before or immediately after ordering to request expedited options.

Expedited production is not guaranteed and depends on current workload and item complexity. If expedited production is approved, additional fees may apply.

4) Shipping Policy

Black Veil Bridal ships to the United States and select international destinations.

Free Shipping

  • Free U.S. shipping on orders over $50
  • Free international shipping on orders over $100

Shipping costs for eligible orders are calculated automatically at checkout.

Shipping Timeline

Shipping begins once production is complete. Transit time depends on the shipping method selected and destination location.

5) Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

Black Veil Bridal is not responsible for:

  • Delays due to incorrect addresses
  • Packages sent to outdated addresses
  • Undeliverable packages returned due to customer entry error

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for any reshipping fees.

6) Sizing Policy (Important for Bridal)

Wedding dresses are not sized the same as everyday clothing. Your regular clothing size may not match bridal sizing.

We strongly encourage:

  • Reviewing our sizing guide carefully prior to ordering
  • Getting professionally measured (bridal salon or tailor)

Customers are responsible for ordering the correct size. Black Veil Bridal is not responsible for sizing issues due to customer-provided measurements.

7) Custom Orders (Sizing / Color / Modifications)

Custom orders include (but are not limited to):

  • Custom sizing
  • Custom colors
  • Design modifications
  • Items made-to-order specifically to your request

Customers ordering a custom dress may be required to submit:

  • Measurement details
  • Name on order
  • Order number

8) Color Disclaimer

We do our best to display product colors accurately. However, due to differences in lighting, device screens, monitor settings, and photography conditions:

Actual product colors may vary slightly from what you see online.

Minor coloration differences are not considered defects.

9) Returns Policy

We understand bridal shopping is meaningful and personal. Please review return eligibility carefully.

Return Window

Eligible, non-customized items may be returned within:

14 days of delivery

To be eligible for a return:

  • Item must be unworn and unused
  • Free of odors, stains, pet hair, and damage
  • Returned in original condition (and packaging when applicable)

Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for returns:

  • Custom sized items
  • Custom color items
  • Personalized or altered items
  • Items marked final sale
  • Items showing signs of wear or damage after delivery

10) Exchanges

We do not guarantee exchanges due to limited stock and made-to-order production.

If an exchange is requested, please email us within the 14-day return window and we will do our best to assist based on item availability.

11) Defects / Damaged Items

If you believe your item arrived with a defect, you must contact us within:

⏱️ 72 hours of delivery

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue
  • Photos of the packaging (if damaged)

Custom items may only be returned or replaced if there is a provable defect due to our workmanship.

Normal handmade variations are not considered defects.

12) Cancellations

Because many items enter production quickly, cancellations are time-sensitive.

  • Cancellations may only be accepted within 24 hours of placing an order
  • Orders already in production cannot be canceled

13) Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We are always happy to help resolve issues directly. If a customer initiates a chargeback without contacting us first, the order may become ineligible for support, refunds, or future purchases.
