Welcome to Black Veil Bridal. Every piece we offer is created with intention, care, and a strong focus on design, craftsmanship, and detail. Because many of our items are handmade and made-to-order, we kindly ask that all customers review our policies carefully before purchasing.

1. Made-to-Order & Handmade Nature of Our Products
Many Black Veil Bridal pieces are handmade and/or made-to-order. Because of this, slight variations in stitching, finishing, lace placement, fabric tone, or other small details may occur. These minor variations are a natural part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.
We believe these details are part of what makes each piece unique.
2. Processing & Turnaround Time
Processing time refers to the time needed to create and prepare your order before shipment. This does not include shipping or transit time.
Wedding Dresses
Most wedding dresses have an estimated turnaround time of:
30–90 business days
Turnaround time may vary depending on:
- Custom sizing
- Color changes
- Design complexity
- Material availability
- Seasonal order volume
Accessories, Shoes & Other Non-Dress Items
Most accessories and non-dress items have an estimated turnaround time of:
10–14 business days
Please note that these timeframes are estimates and may vary slightly depending on production flow.
3. Expedited Orders
If you need your order by a specific date, please contact us before ordering or as soon as possible after placing your order.

Expedited production is not guaranteed and depends on current workload, production scheduling, and the complexity of the item. Additional fees may apply if rush production is approved.
4. Shipping Policy
Black Veil Bridal currently ships within the United States and to select international destinations.
Free Shipping
- Free U.S. shipping on orders over $50
- Free international shipping on orders over $100
Eligible shipping discounts are automatically applied at checkout when available.
Shipping Timeline
Orders ship once production is complete. Delivery time depends on the shipping carrier, shipping method selected, and destination.
Please note that shipping transit times are separate from production times.
5. Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
Black Veil Bridal is not responsible for:
- Delays caused by incorrect address information
- Packages shipped to outdated or incomplete addresses
- Undeliverable packages returned due to customer entry errors
If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for any reshipping fees.
6. Sizing Policy
Wedding dresses are not sized the same as standard everyday clothing. Your regular clothing size may not match bridal sizing.
For the best fit, we strongly recommend:
- Reviewing our size guide carefully before placing your order
- Having your measurements professionally taken by a bridal salon, tailor, or seamstress
Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size and for submitting accurate measurements when required. Black Veil Bridal is not responsible for fit issues caused by inaccurate self-measurements, incorrect size selection, or measurements that were not professionally taken.
Because bridalwear is often structured and fitted differently than everyday garments, professional measurements are highly encouraged for the best possible outcome.
7. Custom Orders
Custom orders include, but are not limited to:
- Custom sizing
- Custom colors
- Design modifications
- Personalized changes
- Dresses made specifically to customer-requested measurements or specifications
Customers placing a custom order may be asked to submit:
- Measurement details
- Name on the order
- Order number
- Any additional customization notes needed for production
Important
Because custom pieces are made specifically for the customer, all custom orders are final sale and non-returnable unless there is a confirmed workmanship defect.
This includes custom-sized dresses, custom color requests, and any design modification made after purchase or as part of the order process.
We strongly suggest ensuring that all measurements are professionally taken before submitting them for any custom garment.
8. Color Disclaimer
We do our best to display colors as accurately as possible across our website, product listings, and promotional materials. However, actual colors may vary slightly due to:
- Screen settings
- Device displays
- Lighting conditions
- Photography editing
- Fabric dye lot variation
Minor color differences are normal and are not considered defects.
9. Return Policy
We understand that bridal purchases are meaningful and important. Because of the delicate nature of formalwear and the risk of items being damaged, worn, or treated as rentals, we maintain a limited return window.
Return Eligibility
Only standard-size dresses and eligible non-custom items may be returned within 7 days of delivery.
To qualify for a return, the item must be:
- Unworn
- Unused
- Free of perfume, smoke, deodorant marks, makeup, stains, pet hair, or damage
- Returned in original condition
- Sent back within the 7-day return window
Any item returned in worn, damaged, altered, or soiled condition may be denied.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return:
- Custom-sized dresses
- Custom-color dresses
- Dresses with modifications or design changes
- Personalized items
- Altered items
- Items marked final sale
- Items showing signs of wear, damage, or use after delivery
Because many of our gowns are made-to-order and bridalwear is highly vulnerable to damage during handling, this shortened 7-day return period helps protect the integrity of our pieces and prevents misuse.
10. Exchanges
We do not guarantee exchanges due to limited stock, made-to-order production, and availability of materials.
If you would like to request an exchange for an eligible non-custom item, please contact us within the 7-day return window and we will do our best to assist based on availability.

11. Defects or Damaged Items
If you believe your item arrived with a defect or was damaged in transit, you must contact us within:
72 hours of delivery
Please include:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the issue
- Photos of the packaging, if applicable
Custom items may only be eligible for repair, replacement, or further review in cases of a verified workmanship defect.
Small handmade variations, minor finishing differences, and slight color variation are not considered defects.
12. Cancellations
Because many of our items enter production quickly, cancellation requests are time-sensitive.
- Cancellations may only be accepted within 24 hours of purchase
- Orders that have already entered production cannot be canceled

13. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
We are always happy to work directly with customers to resolve concerns whenever possible.
If a chargeback or payment dispute is opened without contacting us first, the order may become ineligible for further support, refund consideration, or future purchases.
We strongly encourage customers to reach out to us directly first so we have the opportunity to review and resolve the issue.
